Campus Conversation March 7: Civil Liberties and the Trump Administration

Dear Faculty, Staff and Students,

Tomorrow, Tuesday, March 7, we will continue our year-long Campus Conversation series with Civil Liberties and the Trump Administration: What’s Going On and Why?, from noon to 1:00 p.m. in Student Center East, Cardinal Room. The speaker for this event will be Susan N. Herman, President of the American Civil Liberties Union.

Information about Susan Herman is available at https://provost.uic.edu/campus-conversation-series-march-2017/

This event will be streamed live from ustream.tv.

The speech tomorrow will be followed by an Open Forum: Can We Imagine a More Just Future? Civil Liberties and the Trump Administration, on Thursday, March 16 from noon to 1:00 p.m. in Student Center East – Room 302. The open forum will provide a place for conversation and dialogue on the issues raised by Susan Herman’s speech. This is a great opportunity to talk, listen and learn from each other.

I hope that you will be able to join me and your fellow students, faculty and staff at the presentation tomorrow and the open forum on March 16.

Susan Poser
Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs
