Service fee to the Office of International Services for international visiting scholars

There was a question about the policy of requiring faculty to pay the $650 service fee to the Office of International Services in order to have an international visiting (graduate student) scholar spend a semester. OIS receives no state or tuition funds to cover its personnel and operating costs. OIS is funded by fees charged to international students or departments on behalf of visiting scholars. The fees are essential to operate the services for students and scholars.
