Announcing Dr. Jonathan Art as Acting Dean Designate of the Graduate College

Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce that Dr. Jonathan Art, faculty member in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology and associate dean in the Graduate College, has agreed to serve as acting dean of the Graduate College, pending approval of the University of Illinois Board of Trustees.

Dr. Art joined UIC as a faculty member in the College of Medicine in 1986 and as associate dean of the Graduate College in 2003. His appointment as acting dean of the Graduate College will continue until a permanent Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs begins their appointment and I return to my role as dean of the Graduate College.
