Announcing the Interim Dean of the UIC John Marshall Law School

Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce that UIC John Marshall Law School’s Vice Dean and Professor Julie Spanbauer has agreed to serve as the Interim Dean of the Law School, beginning June 1, 2021, pending approval by the UI Board of Trustees at the May 2021 meeting. Please join me in thanking and congratulating Professor Spanbauer.

Congratulations and thank you to Dean Darby Dickerson, who will become the President and Dean of Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles later this summer. Dean Dickerson worked tirelessly to direct and ensure the success of the law school’s merger with UIC, and has served with great distinction as the Dean of the UIC Law School. We wish her all the best for the future.
