East + West Research Mixer Series: Sept. 6, 2018 Heading link
Dear Colleagues,
In March 2017, we launched the UIC East + West Research Mixer Series aimed to increase communication among faculty and foster multidisciplinary collaboration. Each month, 3-5 faculty members briefly share their research on the selected topic. The remainder of the mixer is open for networking with complimentary food and drink provided. This series is hosted by the UIC Innovation Center.
The first mixer of this academic year will take place on Thursday, September 6 from 4:30-6:00 p.m. at the Innovation Center. The topic is OPIOIDS and the following UIC faculty members will offer brief presentations:
- Basmattee Boodram, Research Assistant Professor, School of Public Health
- Todd Lee, Professor, College of Pharmacy
- Simon Pickard, Professor, College of Pharmacy
- James Swartz, Professor, Jane Addams College of Social Work
- David Wirtshafter, Professor, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
All mixers will take place from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. at the Innovation Center (1240 W. Harrison). The dates and topics for the 2018-2019 series are as follows:
Thursday, October 11, 2018 – Autonomous Vehicles
Thursday, November 8, 2018 – Artificial Intelligence
Thursday, February 7, 2019 – Cybersecurity/Privacy
Wednesday, March 6, 2019 – Water
