Faculty burden when deliberating on promotion and tenure cases

There was a concern that it is becoming too burdensome in some departments for faculty deliberating on promotion and tenure cases because of the increasing numbers of all types of non-tenure system and partially-appointed faculty. The authority for voting and the consideration of cases of eligible faculty members rests within College and Departmental bylaws. Faculty Affairs does not regulate such practices. They can be changed within the College or Department.
