Search for Vice Provost for International Affairs (VPIA): Finalists Announced

I am pleased to announce that three finalists for the new position of Vice Provost for International Affairs (VPIA) will be visiting the campus to interview over the next two weeks. I invite and encourage you to attend their public presentations, meet them and provide feedback.

The VPIA is an important new role at UIC.

This new vice provost will lead the campus in developing strategies to increase UIC’s coordinated global presence and in establishing focused and strategic relationships abroad to benefit our research enterprise, our global outreach, and our international reputation as a destination campus.

This person will also be responsible for consolidating existing international services to provide a comprehensive infrastructure for faculty and students engaging in international study and research, and to provide a welcoming and supportive environment to international students and scholars at UIC.
