About the Office of the Provost

As UIC’s chief academic and chief operating officer, the Provost oversees nine colleges and the university library, and is responsible for issues of academic policy, strategic direction, enrollment management and resource planning. The Provost works in close collaboration with academic and administrative leadership and the faculty to advance UIC’s mission of access to excellence for one of the most diverse student bodies in the nation.
